OUR

ENGAGEMENT

APPROACH

There are two distinct ways we work with clients:

"Problem Solving" Mode

In this mode, where the goal of the owner, board, or top management is to address one or more specific problems, RSViP will be there to provide specialized “hands on” management assistance to you and your team to respond to the specific matter at hand.  In addition to helping you work through the problem, we will also:

·          Dig into the “root causes” that lie beneath the surface and provide an accurate determination of the source of the matter, and

·          Provide you with a improved approach to mitigate the reoccurrence of the situation.

·          Help you implement the new approach as a lasting solution in your business

We begin the engagement with an initial session to bring clarity to the issues and background, and from there develop a “game plan” to address the business requirement.

"Crisis Management" Mode

When we are engaged in this mode, we enter a company with a fresh eye and complete objectivity. Our seasoned professionals are able to spot problems and create new solutions that may not be visible to company insiders.   We have no political agenda or other obligation to bias the decision-making process, allowing our talented advisors to take the sometimes unpopular, yet necessary steps to ensure the survival of the business.

Experience within a particular industry is not as important as experience in crisis situations when a company is facing distress or the rapid erosion of revenue or profits. Like an emergency room doctor, the talent lies in making critical decisions quickly to staunch the bleeding to give the patient the best chance for recovery.

Operating in the eye of the storm in crisis situations, the RSViP turnaround specialist must deal equitably with angry creditors, frightened employees, wary customers and a nervous board of directors. With the highest stakes on the table, clearly this is no assignment for the faint-hearted, or those without specific experience and resources in this area.

Upon engagement, (typically by the owner or the Board), we apply a rigorous, time-tested methodology consisting of:

  • Stage 1 - Analyzing the Situation

  • Stage 2 - Reigning in Control

  • Stage 3 - Changing Management

  • Stage 4 - Operational Restructuring

  • Stage 5 - Renewed Employee and Shareholder Communications
